Mary's Books

I have loved to read since I was little. I would borrow many books from the library and still borrow to this day, but I also purchase books (mostly for my kids) and freebies on Kindle. I read as much as I can daily. Sometimes I read several books at one time. I don't have a preference of paper book over an ebook, I just love to read. Keeping lists of what I have read is a good way for me to remember.

Funny Fast Read

Skipping Christmas - John Grisham

Fast read and funny. All the plans of mice and men....

I read this once before, but as I reread it I remembered the story. The Kranks only child has left for Peru for a year and they decide to not celebrate Christmas, but go on a cruise and have a good time. As they share their plans there are met with mixed reviews, some who admire and some who are angry with them for their plans. Then their daughter comes home with a fiance and he has never seen an American Christmas and they have to throw something together fast.
